Jochen Mühlenbrink

Jochen Mühlenbrink (Germany, 1980) studied painting at Kunstakademie Düsseldorf (2001-2006). Known for his Trompe-l’œil technique, Mühlenbrink leans on theories to investigate reality within the aesthetic principles of modernist painting and classical art. Since 2005 his work has been exhibited in galleries and institutions in Germany, across Europe, in Asia and North America.

Recent solo shows include ‘Solo Show’, Art Düsseldorf / Galerie ASPN, Düsseldorf, Germany; ’STILL (Lifes and Dreams)’, Long Story Short, New York, USA; ‘Adham Was Here’, Weserhalle, Berlin, Germany; ‘Fog it All’, Galerie Thomas Fuchs, Stuttgart, Germany; and ‘Untaped’, Cuturi Gallery, Singapore, Singapore.
